Remembrance

13th November 2014

We commemorated Armistace Day with a poignant recreation of the 'Blood-swept Lands and Seas of Red' poppy display at the Tower of London.

Using the British Legion's 'Every Man Remembered' website, every child searched for a fallen WWI soldier, many of whom shared their surname, and pleged their poppy in their honour.

During our remembrance assembly we also watched a very sad video clip of a family whose lives had been changed forever following the death of a soldier serving in Afghanistan. This made everyone realise how important it is to support the British Legion so that they can continue to support ex-servicemen and women and their relatives.
